The Recreated Breathwork Journeys
Breathwork involves manipulating one's breath to support the body’s healing process. As facilitators, we consider the body to consist of four parts: mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Working the breath heals all these parts and works closely with the nervous, circulatory, and endocrine systems.
My classic breathwork journey lasts 90 minutes. I begin by sharing the benefits of breathwork, demonstrating the three-part circular breath, and talking you through what the experience may bring. We then enter the journey with meditation, and I guide you to breathe for 45 minutes. When you breathe consistently for 45 minutes, you will shift states of consciousness, allowing your body to release physical and emotional pain memories. You may see things you didn’t see before – how all the puzzle pieces fit together. These cathartic journeys can profoundly support healing; you will feel clear, lighter, and calm.
No prior experience is necessary.
Amy’s Breathwork Experience
My first breathwork experience was profound and expansive. It was in September 2020, during the middle of the pandemic, and I was about a year into my healing journey. I had no idea what to expect; a few other facilitators had told me that it was likely the next big shift for me in terms of helping me release old emotions, memories, and stories that I had been carrying in my body for years … like 40 years! Needless to say, I will never forget that afternoon. It changed my life. After 90 mins of breathing, I finally understood my mother’s pain and felt a connection to her that I hadn’t felt since I was a little girl. The experience changed the trajectory of my healing and how I wanted to help others. I was certified a few weeks later, and I’ve been hosting breathwork journeys since then. I have gone even deeper into learning somatic tools to help others with their nervous systems and to shift their relationship attachment styles at a somatic level.
